Arguably the most sought after the function of a pharmacist is to ensure that prescriptions that are created by prescribers are primarily safe for the patient but also meet regional legal requirements. As prescribing has evolved into a more algorithmic science via the adoption of digital patient group and patient-specific directions, so too has the complexity of a pharmacists duty to check these mechanisms for prescriber to ensure they are fit for practice.
